Connecting Definedge Securities as Your Broker
Connecting a broker involves a few technical looking steps, like copying an IP address and pasting API keys, but each one is a simple copy and paste between two screens, and Markup guides you through every part of it.
Step 1: Start the Connection
On the Broker Settings page, select Connect Broker.

Step 2: Select DefinEdge
A disclaimer appears reminding you that trading decisions and actions are yours alone. Select DefinEdge from the list of brokers.

Step 3: Copy Your Static IP
Markup assigns you a dedicated static IP for this connection. Select Copy to copy it.

Step 4: Whitelist the IP and Copy Your API Credentials on DefinEdge
On your DefinEdge account, go to Account, then select API Config.

Paste the copied IP into the Primary IP field and select Submit IP. This same screen shows your API Token and API Secret, copy both now, you will need them in the next step.
Step 5: Confirm the Whitelist on Markup
Back on the Markup screen, tick the box confirming you have added the IP to your DefinEdge whitelist.

Step 6: Enter Your API Credentials
Paste the API Token and API Secret you copied earlier, then select Send OTP.

Step 7: Verify With OTP
Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number or email, then select Verify & Connect.

DefinEdge Securities now shows as your connected broker on the Broker Settings page.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
- Definedge sessions last around 8 hours. After that, you will need to re-verify(Re-auth) with OTP.
- Your Definedge API credentials reset if you change or reset your Definedge login password. If this happens, repeat Step 4 to get fresh credentials.
